A student at HBHS (high school) had pancakes this week and it almost became fatal. His Mom (registered nurse) made him pancakes, dropped him off at school and headed to play tennis. She never takes her cell phone on the court but did this time and her son called to say he was having trouble breathing. She told him to go to the nurse immediately and proceeded to call school and alert the nurse. The nurse called the paramedics and they were there in 3 minutes and worked on the boy all the way to the hospital. He came so close to dying. Evidently this is more common then I ever knew. Check the expiration dates on packages like pancakes and cake mixes that have yeast which over time develop spores. Apparently, the mold that forms in old mixes can be toxic! Throw away ALL OUTDATED pancake mix, Bisquick, brownie mixes etc you have in your home.You can check this website....... http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/pancake.aspP. S. You might want to tell this to your children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and anyone else who keeps these types of mixes in the cupboard.

Today, I stuck my foot in my big mouth!!!!! Hers how it went:

A- yes, because me no eat in orphanage.

Me- I'm sorry

A- every night me cry for my family.

Me- I'm sorry, don't you talk to your sisters & Brat on the computer.

A- Me no cry this family, me cry for my orphanage family, this my family Mommy.

A- Me live in orphanage since me 4, this my family!!!!

Me- Big Gulp, so sorry Aliana. You Mommy is stupid sometimes, I don't know what I'm saying. Its okay, I will take you to the Doctor, he can give you medication to help you feel better.

A- Mommy stop it, I do feel better. Me have American family. But I miss my orphanage family....this my family when I was little girl.

Me-I go to the bathroom to cry, Because we think all is well, and it is. But before it was not. I just love her, it shows you how deep her hurt is. She is so good, she never acts out, never talks back, never is ungrateful, she is just simple. They all are so simple.

Oh what great fun!!!!!! Max is going on day 4 and Sasha is on day 3! And me I'm on like hour 23...... YUK, I hate being sick.......I'm a cry baby. No to mention Prom is tomorrow for Dylan. He got his oh so Hot Tux, I will post pictures of him and his Girl Olivia. Still no words of wisdom from TJ. I did try and call him but his girls cell phone is not working. Left a message at his home but no response. Please pray for the two of them.

Where do I begin ? Well, about a month or so ago my good friend, Rosemary told me she wanted to nominate me to win a car from Cars for a Cause through KATV channel 7 here in Arkansas. She had to write a 500 word essay on me and how we needed a new car ! Well, we do, she is old, she has been good, but it is time for a new one, and currently an added car payment to the monthly bills doesn''t look like it could happen now. She has 254,000 miles on her, her trunk is ducktaped down, her driver mirrors are missing, her front grid blew off in the wind one day, and her power steering is shot ! With my job before as a hospice nurse, and now as an infusion nurse I put alot of miles on my car ! I was so amazed last week to get THE CALL ! I think it as as exciting as getting a referral call ! That I was chosen as one of the 5 finalists ! Just to be chosen is an honor ! This past Wednesday, this wonderful camera man, Tony came to the house and he videotaped me and the kids and we told our story ~~~~ the story of our car, of my life as a Mom, the story of my love and passion and my mission to adopt a few children from the lives they were born into ! The story of my Mom, and what she means to us.
